About Karen:
Karen Dauenhauer is a Scenic Designer and Scenic Artist. She graduated from Mississippi University for Women in 2016 with a B.A. in Theatre and a Minor in Music. She received her M.F.A. in Scenic Design from the University of Georgia in May of 2021.
Karen first became involved with theatre when she played a minor role in a community college production of The Wizard of Oz at the age of 12. Her past credits include director, choreographer, technician, and actor; all of which have influenced her work as a designer.
Karen currently serves as Technical Director and Clinical Assistant Professor at Coker University. She teaches technical theatre courses and does designs for many of the departmental productions. In her spare time, she takes on freelance design work as well as art commissions.
